Sadhu VaswaniThe serene environs of Sadhu Vaswani Mission enshrines a noble soul anda heart that emanates warmth, not only to the Puneites but to his devout followers half way across the globe. The quite, pulsating silence in the room gently resonates with the caressing rhythm. Suddenly, a small diminutive figure, a shawl thrown across his frail shoulders and a beautiful smile across his face enters. It's as if the light of a thousand lamps sloftly glow with the incandescence of inner spirituality. Dada Jashan turn his mesmeric eyes in my direction and says in a rich octave, "I felt the tug at my heart strings when my Master, Sadhu Vaswani called me by his side to work for the service of mankind." As a young boy, Dada was always moved by the plight of any human being or animal or bird in pain and hunger. He readily reached out with a large reservoir of love, providing a balm to a hurt soul. Respecting his mother's wishes, Dada did not peruse a merchant-navy career, instead he opted for academic studies in which he performed brilliantly. However, Dada sought his mother's blessings before her demise, in order to unleash his spiritual yearnings at the side of his Master to preach the word of God.

Dada's love for the vulnerable creatures big and small, seeks to find an echo in the heart of humans who slaughter them without any qualms or conscience. "All life is sacred. To destroy nature is to destroy mankind. People should treat all creatures with respect; touch them with love, protect them from all types of cruelty, suffering and killing," expresses Dada Vaswani with a heavy heart, full of anguish for these unfortunate beings. Spreading inner happiness, this pilgrim of love is in perpetual quest of fellow beings who are starved of the vital life-force, called love. Dada Jashan's most powerful rapture of love is like a sun burst heralding a tendril of Nature's bounties, a benediction for mankind. Dada further reveals, " we are travellers on this earth. Death is like a sunset. The sets in one place but rises at another place. Embrace life with love and treat death as a friend, for only the body is cast aside and the soul enters the astral world ready to take on a new living form." The beacon of life of Dada's teaching illuminates the path of truth, love and humility as the great Master himself ponders the road played by him on the stage of life. He questions his own existence by saying, " What am I, but a tiny candle: The flame of Thine! What am I, An earthen lamp: The light is Thine." Hallowed words from the Guru of Love and Wisdom!
